Spathe green at base, fading to rose pink at ends on outside. Inside of spathe deep red at base, white in middle, changing to deep red at tip. Spadix initially light green, yellow at maturity. Flower smells strongly like rotting meat. Strongest smell is in afternoon. Female flowers develop first, then male. Styles deep red fading to light pink at ovary.
